Delta Chi Chapter Meeting Minutes – 9/23/07

Meeting called to order at 6 p.m. by “F”
Motion to approve last week’s minutes- Svoboda/Robb

A – From last week I sent out an e-mail about the fire drill last week. If you are in
the house you need to respect the fire drill as if it is a real fire. Please make sure
that the doors are closed and leave the house in a timely fashion and go to the rock
in the middle of fraternity row. Welcome to the three new members.
B – Initiation is on Friday at either 201 union or the house. We will let members
know as more information is available.
C – I passed around the community service sheet.
D – Please continue to pay dues. We are doing well with paying dues up to this
point. Checks will be deposited this week.
E – I am going to have a committee meeting this week. I will send out an e-mail as
to what time. The homecoming tent! did not work out this year so we will not be
having a tent. We will have some events for parent weekend. We will discuss these
events later on.
F – Thanks to brother Buzzelli and brother Weber for doing sober brother this
weekend. I will send around the sober brother sheet to sign up. I encourage people
to sign up to fill the spots. In addition, I will be handing out FIPG guidelines to the
chapter. This week is Homecoming so please be safe.
Recruitment – Congratulations to the men pinned on Thursday. Let’s try to focus on
our holds this week.
AMC – Next week in AMC class we will preference big brothers. If you do not want to
take a little let me know. The requirements to take a little are cumulative and
semester GPA over 2.5. In addition, the letter the AMs will be writing are due by the
14th of October. Please participate in the AM class community service project. I-
week will be this week. Candlepass will be Monday at 9pm. Tuesday will be flag and
string at ! 9pm. Wednesday will be DOF at 7:30pm. Friday will be initiatio! n. I wil l
send all these times and events out over e-mail. Thursday, new members and
sophomores and juniors will be going putt-putting.
BB – No Report.
Standards – No report.
Social – This weekend we will have a social with Alpha Zeta Delta at junction from
10pm to midnight. Thanks for going to the socials this week.
Philanthropy – Thanks to those that attended Kappa Classic and Mud Tug this
weekend. I will be contacting people over e-mail for philanthropies. I will send out
an e-mail with all the philanthropies that are coming up. We will have a meeting
after chapter.
Fundraiser – Thanks to those that went to Cedar Point. We got the check from Cedar
Point. Please continue to work on the campus menus fundraiser.
Brotherhood – There will be a paintball brotherhood November 10th. We are still
working on putt-putt. Also, there will be more spontaneous brotherhoods coming
up.
Intramurals – Flag football on Wednesday 6 and 9. This is the last week of ultimate!
frisbee at 10pm on Tuesday.
Community Service – If you cannot go to semi-formal you can still sign up to work
the MAC tournament in Toledo.
Scholarship – Study tables Monday and Tuesday from 8-10pm. Make your phone
calls this week.
Web – I still need to get the pictures from brother Randall for the website. There will
be a lot of website updates coming.
House Manager – Thanks to all those that helped move the pool table out of the
house. Thank you everyone for keeping the house relatively clean this week. The
new chore list is up right now. We will be having a cleaning tonight.
Dance Marathon – Review of dance marathon. If you want to be a dancer or moraller
this year see me and I will get you set up. If you have fund raising idea let me know.
The theme this year is the Olympics.
PR – We will have a committee meeting the week after fall break.
Historian – I got a lot of pictures this weekend. We will go through them and get
them on the webs! ite. I will be completing a scrapbook over fall break and I ne! ed
help identified people in some pictures.
RLC- We are still waiting to see about money issues. If you are doing food please
keep looking into things. We are still working on a theme.
House Staff – No report.

Johnson- I hold my brotherhood meeting 15 minutes before chapter. Please try to

Randall- This week try to wear letter to the house so that I can take some pictures.
Radar- I am going up for big adoption.
Rancourt- There is a golf tournament for RMA. Let me know if you are interested.
Giesler- Can we send a copy of the p! icture at the house for the quarterly.
Svoboda- Have we heard about composites?
Guyer- We are working on and intramural T-shirt design.
Announcements –
Lewis- There are a lot of things going on for Homecoming this week. Look it up on
the website and attend.
Robb- Study tables Monday and Tuesday. Please attend.
Svoboda- Congratulations to Shane Lewis for being nominated to homecoming
court and vote for him.
