Parent's weekend was this weekend. There were many parents in
attendance.
7. News of Alumni:
Brothers Sweigart, Frey, Darr and Prokes were here for a
visit during family weekend. Brother Prokes also attended chapter.

Delta Chi Chapter Meeting Minutes – 10/28/07

Meeting called to order at 6 pm. by “F”
Motion to approve last week’s minutes- Svoboda/Giesler

A – Congratulations to those members that made dean's list last
semester. Greek affairs is putting on party smart tomorrow. There
will be lots of fun events. It it at the ballroom from 9pm to
11pm. For everyone, this Tuesday at 9:15pm in 215 olscamp. will
be bring your chapter to IFC night. All new members will be
going, and all other members are welcome to go. I will send and
e-mail to those going to emerging leaders.
B – There is nothing on the calendar for November. Please add
events as needed. Initiation will be in December some time. I
will be attending committee meetings. Please let me know when
your meetings are.
C –
D – Keep up with the dues payments.
E – We had the meet and greet at the house. There was good at!
tendance. Thank your parents for coming and bringing food.
F – Thanks to brothers Cohen and Campbell for doing sober brother
this week. Sober brother this week will be sent out over e-mail.
Recruitment – We need more people for the recruitment team. We
will be working on events for the end of this semester as well as
next semester. If you would like to be on the team, let me know
as soon as possible.
AMC – Week 7 was today. That means that next week will be the
last week for AM class. We will have a light dinner for the AMs
after chapter next week. If you would like to come to AM class,
let me know.
BB – No Report.
Standards – We have no cases. We will have a meeting coming up.
Social – Thanks to those that attended the socials this week. We
will have a social this Friday from 8 to 11. As well, there will
be a social on Saturday. Socials are for the members of Delta Chi
and for the sorority that the social is with only. Semi-formal is
coming up. Di! nner for semi-formal should be around $20. It will
be Italian ! style. W e will talk about dinners and other things
during our committee meeting. Social committee meeting will be on
Tuesday at 6pm.
Philanthropy – Our philanthropy is next Sunday from noon till
6pm. The events will start at 1pm but you must be there at noon.
It will be a bracket style tournament. Please show up in Fall
2007 rush shirts. If you need a shirt, talk to brothers Guyer or
Cohen. I have flyers and sign up sheets if you need some.
Fundraiser – This week we need to work hard on Campus menus
cards. We do not have many so far. Keep working to hand out cards.
Brotherhood – Brother Chapman is working on paintball. Look for
that information. Look for a euchre tournament coming up. We will
have some pick up basketball coming up.
Intramurals – Team handball is on Monday at 9pm and 11pm.
Wiffleball is on Wednesday.
Community Service – Meeting on Tuesday or Wednesday night.
Scholarship – Study tables Monday and Tuesday. Keep up the work
and make your cal! ls.
Web – No Report.
House Manager – Chore list will be up Monday night. Thanks to
parent's weekend, the house is clean. Thanks to the members that
kept the house clean
Dance Marathon – This week is Miracle Week! Check out all of the
events going on this week:

Sign in all week in the Union for spirit points for D-Chi!
PR – If anyone has anything they want me to do, please let me
know. Albright, please get me an address to send that card to
your mother. A news release will go out to local papers
(including the BG News) next Monday (11/5) to announce the total
money raised for our philanthropy, as well as the winning team.
Historian – No Report.
RLC – I sent an e-mail for the design for the sign out front. Let
me know if you have opinions about the sign. We are repainting
the frame around the sign.
House Staff – No Report.

Motion to discuss chapter next week- Cohen/Johnson

Motion to vote to have chapter after the philanthropy and not
formal- Skidmore/Evens
M! otion passes. Chapter will be after the philanthropy in the
normal location.
Open Forum –
Svoboda- This is the time of the semester to do a self assessment
to see if you are doing what you need to in order to make grades.
A reminder that there is a large incentive for every member
making a 2.5.
Albright- Underclassmen stay after chapter.
Pierson- We have limited time in the semester. Make sure that you
are working hard on Delta Chi things as well as grades.
Johnson- ABT president Chris Prokes attended chapter.
Guyer- Those wanted to be on the recruitment SWAT team stay after.
Announcements –
Buzzelli- My parents wanted to say thanks for making this weekend
enjoyable.
Denhart- Myself as well as brothers Zelina and Weber are going to
Ranger Challenge this weekend. Please wish us luck.
