Delta Chi Chapter Meeting Minutes – 10/21/07

Meeting called to order at 6 pm. by “F”
Motion to approve last week’s minutes-Svoboda/Guyer

A – We are more than half way through the semester. Keep working
hard on grades and those that are chairmen, keep getting things
done. There is hockey game on Tuesday at 7pm. It will be a
brotherhood. This is the first game for the Greek Athletic Cup.
Go to the game, when they swipe your card the chapter gets
points. At the end of the year there will be a trophy for the
chapter with the most members at sporting events by percentage.
Welcome brother Guyers father for coming to chapter.
B – No report.
C – Community service sheet passed around.
D – Dues payments need to get in to me this week. If you gave me
a check in the past two weeks I will be cashing them this week. I
got the bill for the membership dues and will be sending a! check
to headquarters this week.
E – I am sending letters out to new members parents this week for
parents weekend. There will be food at the house. Encourage your
parents to bring food.
F – Thanks to brothers Flanders and Evens for being sober brother
this weekend. Sober brother this weekend is Cohen on Saturday and
I will find one for Friday.
Recruitment – I have a new idea for recruitment that we will be
trying. Check your e-mail coming soon for the rest of the
information.
AMC – We will be doing votes of confidence after chapter so we
will need special business.
BB – No Report.
Standards – We had a case last weekend. The case has been
resolved. We need to resolve some bylaw issues in the future. I
will be meeting with my committee.
Social – We had a nice social on Friday. This Friday we will have
social as well as one on Saturday. I will send out e-mails with
the information. You need to make your room reservations by
October 26th. Coul! d we try to have better attendance at social
events.
Phil! anthropy – 3 on 3 for Jimmy V is coming up. The contest
that I designed is to aid in getting teams signed up. Please work
hard on trying to get teams signed up. If you would like to be a
score keeper, sign up on the sheet passed around.
Fundraiser – The campus menus guy is on vacation so I will work
on getting together with him soon. The pool table is finished and
we got a quote for fixing the couches.
Brotherhood – The hockey game on Tuesday is a brotherhood. There
is a sign up for paintball. Basketball at the field house after
chapter. Putt putt may be next week some time. We have to have a
minimum of twelve people for paintball. I need to get it set up
by Friday. Look for a pool tournament and scholarship study fest
some time in the future. We will work on getting a poker
tournament set up.
Intramurals – Tomorrow at 9pm is C team handball and 11pm is A
team handball.
Community Service – I am looking at working on a soup kitchen
soon. My committee meeting was p! oorly attended.
Scholarship – I got grade sheet for AMs. Make your phone calls.
Monday and Tuesday are study tables. If you are proctoring study
tables, please keep those in study tables focused and keep the
noise down.
Web – I updated the website last week. I have put the members
that were not on the website on it.
House Manager – The new chore list will be up soon. Please do
your chores. There will be new methods for cleaning. Look for
signs. The pool table is in. Please keep the pool table where it
is because it is level. The pool room must be cleaned up by
Tuesday. The new washing machine is in the house. Make sure the
house is spotless for parents weekend. Take out the trash and
throw away the remains of your food on from the table.
Dance Marathon – DGR meeting tomorrow so I will have more
information next week.
PR – Thanks to those that came to my committee meeting. If you
have anything for me to do get it to me.
Historian – No report.
R! LC – Great attendance last week. If you have ideas about
regio! nals sen d me an e-mail. There is no meeting tonight but
we will have a meeting next week after chapter. If you need help
let me know. We also worked on a budget last week.
House Staff – No report.

Motion to discuss allocating funds for repairing the couches in
the TV room- K. Miller/ Giesler
